Welcome! My name is Allie. I'm a city-born-and-and-raised-girl who's gone country. I'm a busy girl who works full time and is married to a wonderful husband. We have 3 horses, 6 chickens, a dog and a cat to look after. We also have a large vegetable garden and manage our 7 acres of heaven all while balancing out life and work on a daily basis.

I'm a full-time foodie and a cooking addict. I love to try new recipes and have adventures in the kitchen. My poor, particular and picky-eating husband does his best to hide his eye rolls and only marginally picks things out of his food that he is not fond of. If I'm not spending time outside, I'm usually in the kitchen; making a mess and trying new ways to prepare food that is delicious. I have a unique way of cooking for my family that I find extremely beneficial to my crazy, hectic schedule that allows me to be able to come home from work, not cook a thing, and have a meal that is waiting for us. This way, I can enjoy my evenings when I get home and I don't have to make or clean a thing!

I cook all of our food for the week on my weekend. I make one mess in the kitchen and I only have to clean up that one mess (even though sometimes it can be monstrous!). I find most of my recipes online, or I have an endless resource from my ever-talented-in-the-kitchen-mother. I wouldn't know where to start when coming up with my own recipes. So most of the recipes you see here are critics of recipes that I have found. If we don't love it, I won't make it again. Most of the time, I'm successful. Sometimes, there are just some plates I can't bring myself to eat after I've made them (I swear, the picture that was shown online with the recipe looked yummy! How come mine looks like a pile of goo?) I will tweak recipes by adding a little of this, and maybe taking out some of that. It's just my own way of making it mine.
